This is the inside back cover of an event program for a dinner hosted by President Richard M. Nixon on May 15, 1969 to honor four former United States ambassadors. The dinner was held in the State Dining Room. The guests of honor at the dinner were: David K. E. Bruce, former ambassador to the United Kingdom, Germany, and France, and his wife, Evangeline Bruce; Robert D. Murphy, former ambassador to Japan and Belgium, and his daughter, Rosemary Murphy; Llewellyn Thompson, former ambassador to the Soviet Union and Austria, and his wife, Jane Thompson; and Charles E. Bohlen, former ambassador to France, the Soviet Union, and the Philippines, and his wife, Avis Bohlen. After the dinner, the party transitioned to the East Room, where guests enjoyed a musical performance by pianist Peter Nero, accompanied by Gene Cherico on bass and Bobby Rosengarden on drums.
